RecSports Facilities

Carroll University's Recreation and Wellness facilities offer equipment, machines and spaces for you to get fit and stay healthy. Between our RecSports Fitness Center, the new Pioneer Fitness Center, Ganfield Gymnasium and many outdoor options, you're sure to find a comfortable place to move and get active on campus.

RecSports Fitness Center

The ​RecSports Fitness Center is a recreation facility connected to Prairie Hall at the corner of College Ave. and Grand Ave.  Carroll University RecSports oversees the space and its operations.  This functional training area is most utilized by students and employees who are looking to enhance their fitness experience indoors.​  Active Carroll ID is required for students and employees to gain access at the southwest door via card swipe/tap inside at the welcome desk.

During the academic year, our hours are:
Monday–Thursday: 6 a.m.–10 p.m.  |  Friday: 6 a.m.–6 p.m.  |  Saturday: Noon–6 p.m.  |  Sunday: Noon–6 p.m.
Summer Break hours:
Monday–Friday: 9 a.m.– 8 p.m.
Hours are subject to change.

Ganfield Gymnasium

With an NCAA-size multi-purpose court, Ganfield Gymnasium has space for basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, tennis, dodgeball and more.  This space is most utilized by Intramural Sports, RecSports Group Fitness classes, and Club Sports. Upstairs in Ganfield there is a Dance Studio (#201) used for Group Fitness and Small Group Training classes and the Carroll University Blaze.  All-Employee Yoga and All-Employee Pilates Fusion take place here.  The main lobby has two academic classrooms and a social lounge.  Athletics oversees a weight room downstairs.

Pioneer Fitness Center

The Pioneer Fitness Center opened fall 2020. RecSports staff oversee the facility and its operations. Access is included for all students and employees, or those with a RecSports membership, via active Carroll ID card swipe/tap inside the facility at the welcome desk. Enter Pioneer Hall via the vestibule at the north side double doors.

Carroll University Esports Center (CEC) - powered by Automation Arts

Location: Campus Center Pioneer Indoor Terrace (PIT), this space is home to Varsity, competitive Club esports and recreational gaming since 2020.
